NVIDIA’s Broadcast technology (previously known as RTX Voice) is an impressive piece of software that eliminates background noise from audio channels and enables users to have a virtual background without a green screen.
Previously, users had to download a separate app to use NVIDIA’s tech. However, Elgato (owned by Corsair) has partnered with NVIDIA to bring these features to their own software. Elgato/Corsair gear users can now seamlessly enjoy the noise removal features and background features, as long as they have an RTX GPU and compatible Elgato products.
Video Feed Backgrounds
AI-enhanced filters can apply a background to your video stream without a green screen. This is useful for streamers and allows you to keep your surroundings private for work or school meetings. Results may vary depending on lighting conditions, but NVIDIA’s Broadcast technology works well, eliminating the need for a bulky green screen setup.
Audio Noise Removal
Corsair’s come with Wave Link software. This software has now been enhanced with NVIDIA’s Broadcast technology to filter out background noise. The noise removal effect can be toggled on and off in the Wave Link software. Broadcast features are also available for a wide range of Corsair headsets.
Noise removal can be applied to individual audio channels, and the feature uses AI to identify voices, separating them from unwanted sounds like pet noises, fan noise, and background chatter. It also cancels room echoes, eliminating the need for sound-dampening materials to achieve clear audio without echoes.
All of these features are available now. Users with eligible products will receive a prompt in Corsair’s iCUE software to download the NVIDIA Broadcast add-on.
